Bridge Replacement on S14 (Indian Creek, Sec.18, & Union, Sec. 13)
Story county will be replacing a bridge on Co. Rd. S14 (620th) approximately 0.5 milesnorth of Co. Rd. E63 (305th). The road will be closed to traffic during construction. Peterson Contractors Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa will be the prime contractor on the project. The project is expected to take approximately 3 months, depending on the weather. The Detour for this project will be west on E63 then north on R70 and then east on Hwy 30 and the reverse.
UPDATE: 9/22/2023
The contractor has finished work on the structure of the bridge and they are working to complete the bridge rail and end posts. The contractor will then work to complete the remaining dirt work and replace the pavement over the next few weeks.
