Story County Conservation (SCC) is pleased to announce several public meetings to gather input on an update to its Trails Master Plan. Meeting information is as follows:

• NEVADA - Monday, April 1, 5:30 - 7:30 P.M. at Nevada Field House, 1625 Fawcett Parkway, Nevada,
• HUXLEY - Tuesday, May 07, 5:30 - 7:00 P.M. at Nord Kalsem Park Shelter, Huxley
• ROLAND - Thursday, May 09, 5:30 - 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Park Shelter, Roland

SCC is committed to enhancing outdoor recreational opportunities for residents and visitors, and the development of a comprehensive trail plan is a critical step in achieving this goal. The trail plan will outline strategies for the creation, improvement, and maintenance of trails throughout the county, catering to a variety of recreational activities such as hiking, biking, birding, and more.

These public meetings will serve as the kick-off for the trail planning process and provide opportunities for community members to contribute their ideas, concerns, and suggestions regarding the county's trail system. Residents, outdoor enthusiasts, stakeholders, and anyone interested in the development of the trail system in Story County are encouraged to attend and participate in discussion.

These meetings will follow an "open-house" or "drop in" style, with no formal program. Participants can come and go as they please to share thoughts and ideas. County officials and representatives from the planning team will be present to answer questions and provide information about the planning process.
