On May 28 at 2:00 pm will be a dedication of the crash site of the B-17G that went down in Story County on March 6, 1944.
Directions to the B-17 Memorial:
67066 295th St, Maxwell, IA 50161, 2 miles east of Iowa Center, just north of Maxwell, Iowa. At the corner of Hwy S-27 and 295th Street, you will see a building that says Iowa Center City Hall. Go east on 295th Street for 2 miles, and the memorial will be on your right hand side.
