Have you planned for how your waste water plants will continue to function when faced with a prolonged power outage? Have you identified services in your community that are essential for the local government to continue when faced with a disaster? We have a course that will help you identify these issues and develop plans for how your local government will remain functional across a spectrum of emergencies.
Story County Emergency Management and the City of Nevada are hosting a Continuity of Government Operations Planning for Rural Communities course provided FREE of charge by the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC) on Saturday April 4th, 2015 from 8:30AM-5:00PM. This course will assist local government and emergency responders develop plans for how your local government will continue to function when impacted by a disaster or emergency. Special focus will be given to succession planning, delegation of authority, redundant communications, and alternate facilities.
