[ARCHIVED] Trail closure update - HOINT is still closed from Water Street to 597th Avenue in Cambridge

The Skunk River Bridge and the bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, located in the first mile of the Heart of Iowa Nature Trail, east of Water Street in Cambridge is still closed to trail users.

The trail, from Water Street to 597th Ave., has been closed for maintenance repairs since May 29. The fences on the bridges were removed, so for your safety please do not use this segment of the trail.

It is unknown at this time, how long this portion of the trail will be closed. Story County Conservation will notify the public when the construction is complete and the trail is reopened.
