[ARCHIVED] Swimming Not Recommend at Hickory Grove Park this Weekend, Beach House is Closed

Story County Conservation continues to recommend that people do not swim at Hickory Grove Lake (67382 250th St., Colo). Regular water quality testing in August has continued to reveal high levels of E-coli present in the water at the beach.

The beach house at Hickory Grove Park will be closed this weekend September 1 – 3, and no concessions or boat rentals will be available.

The beach at West Peterson Park (55310 180th Street, Ames) is open and swimming is allowed from sunrise to sunset.
