[ARCHIVED] Conservation Center Closed to Weekend Visitation

Volunteers Ensured Building Was Open 25 Additional Days for Park Visitors

The Story County Conservation Center at McFarland Park is closed to Sunday visitors for 2012. SCC would like to thank the volunteers who staffed the conservation center on Sunday afternoons. The center was open an additional 25 days throughout the season thanks to their help.

Center hosts for 2012 were Leo and Betty Schneider, Ray and Eleanor Moeckly, Ginny Jackson, Paul and Mary Lou Mumm, Vi Baker, Sue Seaton, John and Sally Greve, Marilyn Lekwa, Jan LaVille and Rhiannon Gerard. .

The conservation center will be open for Sunday visitation again in April 2013.
