The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, March 7,to discuss the proposed planning study of U.S. 30 from the Interstate 35 interchange near Ames, east to 11th Street in Nevada.
This meeting will also provide information and discussion on a proposed inlay project on eastbound U.S. 30 from east of the I-35 interchange near Ames to just west of Nevada. This project is expected to be completed in the 2013 construction season.
The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church, 57011 U.S. 30 in Ames.
Several preliminary conceptual layouts of potential interchange locations will be shown at the meeting.
This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed alternatives. No formal presentation will be made.
