A boil advisory is in place due to the potential for bacterial contamination from a water main break last evening. It is recommended that water be boiled before being used for drinking and cooking. Or, an alternate source, such as bottled water can be used. The boil advisory will be lifted once repairs have been made and water samples have been tested to be sure the water is safe.
To boil water for consumption, follow these steps. Bring water to boil and boil for one minute. Let it cool before using. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, ice, brushing teeth and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
The water may be used for bathing and other similar purposes.
Continued updates will be posted as they come available.
