IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN IOWA ISSUED DRIVER'S LICENSE, PERMIT, OR ID, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IN YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD AND YOUR OUT OF STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE, PERMIT, ID, OR PASSPORT WHEN TITLING OR REGISTERING A VEHICLE/TRAILER/MOBILE HOME.


BEGINNING JAN. 1, 2022 A BILL OF SALE WILL BE REQUIRED ON ALL TITLE TRANSFERS (INCLUDING TRAILERS) 


A BILL OF SALE should include:

  • Name/Signature of the Buyer(s)
  • Name/Signature of the Seller(s)
  • Date of Sale
  • The Vehicle’s VIN#
  • Final Sale Price

 *Bill of sale does NOT have to be notarized

OFFICE OPEN TO PUBLIC FOR WALK-INS

Walk-in customers are accepted from 8:00AM to 4:30PM on a first-come, but you need to arrive by 4:15 pm for a title transfer.

Property Tax Announcements

First half Property Taxes were due on September 30, 2025. Second half property taxes are due on March 31, 2026.

If you would like a receipt please provide a prepaid self addressed return envelope.
