This 49-acre property is bisected by West Indian Creek, a watershed that SCC has been actively protecting and restoring. The property includes remnant prairie, pasture, and oxbow wetlands. Carroll Prairie will remain an undeveloped wildlife area.
This land was rotationally grazed. Purchase of this property was made possible through the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation who held the property until funds were raised to transfer it to Story County Conservation.
