Planning and Development's Role In Addressing

The Planning and Development Department is responsible for various duties associated with the county's rural addressing system, including coordinating:

  • Address marker assignment
  • Corner post/street names installations
  • Street re-naming requests
  • Placement of address points in the Geographic Information System (GIS)

New 911 Addresses and Costs

New 911 addresses for parcels being developed are assigned by the Planning and Development Department. These addresses are also placed into a digital file that can be used by county staff to help locate properties when inquiries are received.
